Wellscapes was designed to help you and your community make an impact on youth physical activity. By using data to drive decision making, taking community action, and establishing a community hub committee, communities can combine efforts to improve the physical activity of youth.
Data is used to drive decision-making and is collected using 3 measurement tools: The Youth Activity Profile (YAP), the Wellscapes Stakeholder Survey, and the Leader Routine Survey. The data collected from each of the questionnaires will be confidential, secured, and protected. The data will be used to inform future program and policy decisions in our community. Identifiable data of anyone who participates will be removed and replaced with an identification code for data analysis. This means your child's privacy will still be protected. To create valuable change and improve the health and wellness of children in our community, parents/guardians can sign a consent form to allow for general demographic information to be collected.
Data sharing agreements are established with the school(s) to link demographic data (e.g., gender, race, ethnicity, etc.) with physical activity data in order to better understand how physical activity opportunities impact the youth population in your community. |
